High Thorn Equestrian Centre is a facility geared towards the training and education of both the competitive and the recreational horse and rider.   The facility offers a diverse, multi-discipline opportunity for a rider who wants to advance, or who just wants a safe, friendly atmosphere to enjoy their horse.

Training is offered at various levels, from starting youngsters to taking dressage horses up the levels, with a strong focus on training and showing the modern sport horse.

The facility also hosts AEF dressage shows every year geared towards introducing horses and riders to the sport.  Both english and western dressage classes are offered.

Jenneke has been riding horses her entire life and had always known they would be integral to her career

In fact, horses have afforded her multiple opportunities, from working in Anky Van Grunsven's barn in the Netherlands (and watching and learning), to training Polo horses in Kenya, her experiences are wide and varied.

For the last five years she has been back in Canada starting young horses and training horses in multiple disciplines with a strong focus on dressage. She is always seeking to further her knowledge and skillset, riding in various clinics with Canadian coaches as well as international coaches such as Hendrik Gaebel, Ellen Bontje, and Tom Dvorak.

She has also taken numerous dressage horses into the show ring with significant success, including Galaxy II (2008 4yr old FEI Western Regional Young Horse Champion, CWBHA Fall Classic Sale 2nd highest seller), Danya (2008 3 year old Materiale Champion, 2009 4 year old FEI Western Regional Young Horse Champion, 2009 BC FEI 4 year old Champion), Go for the Gold (Shown successfully in the 2010 FEI 4 year old classes, and one of the top selling horses at the 2010 CWBHA sale). Since then, she has seen solid success showing various other horses.

Jenneke's philosophies hinge on basic horsemanship, and she imparts this upon her students.
